In line with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, Vidyasagar Metropolitan College has placed a strong emphasis on integrating the Indian Knowledge System (IKS) into its academic and extracurricular activities. In line with that, Indian Knowledge System committee works to create a robust ecosystem that integrates the Indian Knowledge System (IKS) into the academic activities of the college.

Objective:

• To sensitize students about the cultural and philosophical underpinnings of IKS, fostering a deeper appreciation for India's intellectual traditions.
• To promote India's rich heritage by encouraging research in traditional knowledge systems.
• To undertake initiatives focussed on applying traditional knowledge in educational resources, curriculum modules, and research papers based on IKS.
