Rules & Regulations

  • College Hours: Classes are normally held from 10:30 A.M. to 04:30 P.M. (Science), 12:30 P.M. to 06:30 P.M. (Arts) and 02:30 P.M. to 07:30 P.M. (Commerce) on all working days i.e., Monday to Saturday.
  • Attendance recorded numerically in the classes must not fall below 75% in each subject. Disciplinary measures will be adopted by the college authorities for irregularity in attendance, which may include fine/re-admission charges, etc.
  • Students migrating from other Boards/Universities must contact the College office to regularize their admission.
  • Promotion to the next higher class and/or criteria of qualifying for the Degree Part-I, Part-II and Part-III Examination will be strictly on the basis of obtaining the requisite pass marks in the college examinations and requisite percentage of attendance as will be notified by the College authorities from time to time.
  • In the CBCS semester system, criteria for appearing at semester examinations and for transitioning between semesters will be guided by university rules and regulations which will be notified by the College authorities at regular intervals.
  • Students are liable to be expelled for misbehaviour and/or for adopting unfair means during examinations.
  • Students must come to College with their valid Identity Cards which must be properly displayed during his/her presence in the college premises. Use of mobile phones during classes and examinations, is strictly prohibited.
  • All students must clear all their college dues according to the fees card before commencement of 'form fill up' for their respective university examination.
  • Students migrating from other Boards/Universities must contact the College office to regularize their admission.
  • The medium of instruction is English and Bengali only.
  • Any change of Contact No of the student/guardian must be intimated to the college office. Parents and Guardians are requested to co-operate with the College authority.
    • by urging their wards to be regular in attendance.
    • by taking care that their wards appear at all the College examinations, and
    • by paying the College dues in time as directed in the fees card.
  • If a student is absent from lectures or practical work for consecutive four weeks without intimation, his/her studentship will be treated as automatically cancelled. In exceptional cases he/she may be readmitted as a fresh candidate against deposit of re-admission charge.
  • Study Tours: The Departments of Geography, Botany, Zoology and Physiology organise Compulsory Educational Field Tours (for both Honours and General Course students) as a part of the Curriculum. Students shall have to bear the expenses incurred in the tours as informed by the concerned Department.
  • Students are encouraged to register their grievances/complaints (if any)

    drop written complaints in the grievance box placed at the entrance of the new campus.
  • Last but not the least; it is the duty of the students to keep the campus clean and green. They should help the college authorities separate and dispose bio degradable, non-degradable and e- waste properly.
